Arnold De Loof (Belgium), Phd, is a full professor of zoology, specializing in the study of hormones, mainly from invertebrates. He teaches general biology and developmental biology University of Leuven in Belgium. From this combination emerged his ideas for a new approach to the study of life, which was published in Communication, Life, Mega-Evolution (in Dutch: Wat is Leven? De onstoffelijke dimensie), available at Amazon.
De Loof took advantage of evolutionary field theory, epigenetics, and many other theories to develop the vision and approach that he calls communication biology. He is the founder of the Laboratory of Developmental Physiology, Genomics and Proteomics, and has more than 400 scientific publications on his record.

What is Life?
۞ Dr. Arnold De Loof (Belgium) tackles one of the Big Questions: What is Life? Is it possible to come to a good working definition of what constitutes Life? De Loof certainly thinks so as he explains in our interview.
- We will start with a simple question. Can you explain us what is Life?
- What is the difference between Life and Death?
- When you terminate the highest level of communication of a chicken, the cells of that chicken can still be alive, but the chicken as such is dead. Is this correct?
- You identify both individual evolution in levels and social evolution in levels? Is this correct?

Evolution
۞ Arnold De Loof talks about biological evolution and the role of communication.
- Do we jump to the next evolutionary level by means of increased communication of the individuals at that level?
- Do we find an individual and a social aspect in evolution?
