FAQ

I can’t view the video’s you have put up. What should I do?

Okay! Let’s start you up with a viewer that can open the format of these videos (the format we use is called an mp4). It is most easily opened with a program such as Quicktime, so If you have a Mac, go and download this piece of software here. Don't worry, it's for free. If you don’t have a Mac, download the same program here

Now for those of  you who have Windows Media Player installed, and who don't fancy trying something different, there is a solution for you too. You will have to install a codec that allows Windows Media Player to decode the mp4 format. You can find the appropriate codecs, depending on the version of you Operating System, here.

I see you have RSS feeds. What can I do with it?

What RSS can do for you is that it can give you a list of our most recent additions to our website so you will always be up to date. To read this list, however you will need a news reader (or an aggregator). You could pick one here if you want. And then you just subscribe to our feeds. The aggregator will do this for you if you just give him our web address (or URL). Or if you want to do this manually, click on this image  and you will find the exact location of the file.

I like your interviews. But why "integrally-informed interviews"?

Excellent question! Let’s start by look at the question itself. Once we know exactly what the question is about, we can take it from there.

I hear two basic aspects to your question. The first is fairly straightforward: what is an "integrally informed interview"? The term "integrally informed interview" has three words in it. So, in this order, we will consider the term "integral", then the combined term "integrally-informed", and finally the threesome "integrall-informed interview".

The second aspect is how are we applying this? Why is polilogues a project that is integrally informed? This question really goes to the core of what polilogues stands for, and where it wants to go.

Tantalising questions huh? I’ll put in (most of) the answers for you this weekend. If you can’t wait that long, try Google and search for "integral" and "integrally-informed" and that will already take you on a nice journey of discovery. Till then!

Why are certain videos off-line, and what can I do about it?
The reason why has ofcourse to do with money (no big surprise here). Making the interviews and storing the videos on the net costs quite a bit of money, and unfortunately at the moment we have no other sponsor than Helen (whom we are very thankful, ofcourse). Therefore we decided to take of some previous materials and make space for new ones. The old ones haven't gone though. If you want to see some of the old ones just write us an email, explain us why you are dying to see them, and we will temporarily put them back on the net for you and your friends to watch. Ofcourse, this is not an elegant solution, and ideally we would have all of our material on-line all the time. Sooooo...if you would like to contribute to that goal your gift would be extremely welcome. Again, write us an email and tell us the good news!
