Question: Are there other distinctions between those four different steps, besides their differences in volume?
Rinus: Yes, so we have the differences in level. At each level there is a difference in volume, and there is an enormous difference in the energy one experiences when one is in such a state.
The intensity of the energy in bhava samadhi is much stronger if the bhava samadhi is at a higher level and so on.
In the highest form of bhava samadhi, there are substructures within the field which you can see as balls rotating, and which produce musical sounds. This is almost never spoken of, although there are some references in mystical literature: ’The music of the spheres’, the ‘Saut-e-soermad’ of the Sufi’s, and so on. So this is an other criterion we can use to at which level the bhava samadhi is.
