Question: We can start by just setting the larger frame of the situation. The need in the world for your life’s work, and the situation in Sweden.
Drummond: Right. Well, there is a huge need in the world, and recently...I mean, I work together with my colleague, Mats Edin who is a child psychologist. and I’m a social scientist. We have been working together in education since 2003. Mats has at least 20 years of experience and I have probably been working in schools for about 8 years now. I can say what gives me the biggest picture is a lot of inspiration form Andrew Cohen. Recently he sort of summarized the situation we are in in the world is a crisis of consciousness, and both globally and locally. I mean today in the newspapers we see the latest crisis concerning terrorists. But even in schools here in Sweden the crisis we see is about consciousness so what Mats and I are doing is to try to bring focus to the need to work with consciousness if we want to improve the situations that we are faced in in schools. And it is the same issue even on a global level or on a national level, all the way up and all the way down, so we see the same issue in families. How can we create an environment that children are motivated to grow and find meaning and purpose with their lives.
